Got the F type and my hayes manual calls for 9 quarts. After only 3 the dipstick says full??? I just got the tranny back in place last month and all the tranny fluid was drained even from the torque converter.

My guess is that it's not getting into the tor conv. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks
Jason

To properly fill a C4 , the engine has to be running . Add fluid and then start it up . Keep filling till it stays on the "cold" full line . If you overfill the tranny will belch out the extra fluid when it gets warm and most times when your driving so you get a nice smoke trail .

Lemondrop is correct.

You should have put one quart in the torque convertor before you put it back in. Other than that, you have to add, run, check, add, run, check, add, run, check...
