I am installing a c4 in my 67 with a 289. It had a 3 speed originally. Does it matter which side of the radiator the cooling lines go to? To be precise I can't find anything in the shop manual that says the line from the back of the tranny goes to the left side of the radiator, etc.

I don't believe it makes any difference. I have used an external cooler for the last 35 years. The cooling tank sprung a leak and caused a tranny rebuild.

Thanks for the feedback. Don't get me started on the pre bent lines. I bought a set from NPD and they are prebent for something but its not a 67 mustang. They are so far off from working its not funny. I was tempted to do some ad hoc prebending on them but I plan on sending them back.
