I receintly picked up a rebuilt C6, the guy told me it would bolt to my 390 'no problem', well it doesn't. Crappy thing is, I gave away my big block C6 a little after getting this new one. Question is, can I swap the internals from a baby C6 to a big block C6? I'd really prefer not to rebuild a tranny when I have a rebuilt one already.

Thanks

Yup, common. I had a small block C6 with a shift kit and a TCI 3000rpm converter that I sold for $200. The converter was more than that new, but I think I was lucky to even be able to sell it in my chevy-centric area.

Make sure you specify an FE C-6, otherwise you might end up with one for a 429/460.

If you send me some serious money, I'll send you a serious C6! Kidding, thanks for the help guys. Guess I'll start calling around for an FE C6. Still kicking myself for getting rid of the other one!
