When installing a new camshaft in an engine what type of lubricant should be used for the start up?

I just installed a new Comp cam and it included the assy lube
with it. If you don't have any, there are several cam breakin
lubes out there. Since I'm not going to fire mine up for another
3-4 weeks, I used some motor assy grease. Called "Lubriplate
No. 105". It's a thick white grease instead of the thin red
stuff that came with the cam. Good luck.

There's several types of engine assymbly lube. What I normally use is what called MolyLube. I haven't had any problems with it so far.
