I was thinking the same thing about the exhaust leaks... then I realized they were full exhaust clamps that do not require welding for a sealed fit. They appear to be tacked in place for added piece of mind? A lot of the pre-made kits have these. Might be swearing at the exhaust guy when the trans needs to come outWhy not leave it alone.
Grinding it is going to cut into the protective aluminum coating.
End up looking worse over time
Besides not to start an argument but those spot welds look hideous
Probably have a ton of small exhaust leaks
