I am looking for an air breather for this carburator.1970 1971 Ford Mustang Maverick carburetor new Carter D2DZ-9510-f. I have a 1966 Mustang 200 I 6 and somewhere down the line someone put a 1970 motor In It. An Autolite 1100 air breather won't fit. The diameter is smaller. Also the choke sticks up to high on the Carter. I discovered all this when I pulled the head to do a valve job.

Not a sure thing, but the autolite 1101 carb had a high choke on it that 1100 air cleaners don't fit either. Maybe an 1101 air cleaner will work for you.

It's that big round tin can that sits on top of the carb. LMAO. Sorry, I couldn't keep my fingers from the keyboard after reading your heading. Seriously though, you might find one for the 70 maverick that will fit (or possibly modify a stock L6 to fit).

Where are you located. My 65 had a Carter on it that I've replaced with a proper Autolite 1100. Carb and air cleaner are sitting in my garage taking up space.

Yep, That's the Carter YF-1 Air Cleaner. Ford started using them on the Mustang and the Falcon in 1970...as well as the Maverick..
