I’ve tried the one pc gaskets and they leaked. The 4 pc from Canton has not leaked yet.

Whoops. Will have to keep that in mind if mine starts leaking.

Also FWIW while I wasn't seeing open-track speeds mine (canton raodrace pan) did fine last weekend at a track-cross. Always had good pressure even in the off-camber sweepers.

why cant you use the rails

Someone replied previously, but the Canton pans have a raised or stamped pattern on the flange that bolts to the block. If you try to use the oilpan rails on a pan that style, you'll just distort things and make it worse.

I’ve heard that for years. And while it may be that the Aviaid pans are good, I’ve never had an oil starvation in fast banked corners either. Me thinks there’s a lot more to it than just the pan

Honestly after a quick look when i first hear this...they don't really look that different.
