Hi all!
I am redoing steering/suspension on 66 289 manual steering, and the new center link brushes the tranny lines when turning to the left. A newbie here, so what did I do wrong? Pic attached. Thanks! IMG_2601.JPG

I had to bend mine a little. The centerlink would actually rub my starter a little if the wheels are turned just the right way and going over a dip.

Thanks. My apologies for what may be a basic question, but what is the best adjustment?
I would just give the tranny lines a bit of a bend by hand. Nothing extreme, just enough not to interfere with anything.

Push them toward the engine, and up. They are mild steel, and will re-form wherever you want them.

Double ouch. I thought mine must be tweaked up from going in the ditch a few times. New PMGR fixed it for me.
Could be worse.
Your drag link could have hit your brand new $180 starter...
