I have just installed a new centerforce 1 clutch in my 1965 Mustang and the pedal pressure is greater than the stock clutch I replaced All adjustments are correct to spec.

Any sugesstions. Can the z-bar alignment cause this condition?

I installed a centerforce clutch disc and pressure plate. I presume you are talking about the pressure plate, as changing the clutch disc alone will not change your pedal effort. I went with a cable clutch instead of the factory linkage so I cannot help you on that part of your question. Good luck.

sure it's fun (most of the time), but it's only a car.

I had the Centerforce 1 also, pedal pressure was slightly higher then stock, not alot. Make sure your not binding somewhere.
