I am tackling this job tomorrow.
The FMX has a broken front seal.
I have a C4 from a 68 coupe.
Since I am removing the FMX to replace the seal,
I decided to use the C4 instead.
I bought new front and rear seals for the C4 today.

Can I use the same FMX flywheel, torque converter,
bellhousing, driveshaft and crossmember for the C4?

Should I drain the collant first or not necessary?

How heavy is the FMX compared to C4?

Thanks all in advance.

C4 and FMX crossmembers are different. I don't believe you can use the FMX torque converter or bell housing. You should be able to re-use the flywheel and driveshaft. Check the length of both transmissions to be sure about the driveshaft and insert the yoke of the driveshaft into the c4 to see if it fits ok. FMX is cast iron and quite a bit heavier than a C4.
BTW you shouldn't need to drain the coolant, just make sure the fan clears the radiator when the motor tilts to the rear upon tranny removal..
