"your charging system does just fine".....so youve measured that when the lights are off the voltage at the battery terminals is AT LEAST 13.5 volts?

Have a shop or parts store load test your charging system . You may also have a problem with low amperage output . Most likely time for a new alternator .

what llights do you have? what does it mean when you say your charging system is working? as others have stated you should hae 13.5 to 14.5 Vs DC for charging system to be good. PM me if you hae question or need help. also include if you hae fog lights or other power pigs in car.
