If youve looked thru perf catalogs, you've seen the crane adjustable vacuum advance unit......

It occurs to me to tell everyone that MANY REBUILT DURASPARK DISTRIBUTOR VACUUM CANS ARE ADJUSTABLE THE SAME WAY...JUST STICK A HEX WRENCH IN!!

If I need one, I'll go to the parts store, ask for a vacuum advance can, and look inside the vaccum hole for the hex shaped hole!!! /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

The same goes for the point distibuter as well. That's an old trick worth repeating.

The original vacuum advance on my 67 289 wasn't adjustable, unless you wanted to file some meat off of a plastic spacer within. Perhaps later units are adjustable, but I got the Crane and it works just ducky.
