I don't like to get my 66 wet, but washed it tonight as my small hometown is having a car show and tell followed by a slow roll thru town tomorrow evening. I figured I would participate and see what else shows up. My dad is planning on bringing his 65 Galaxie and my sister visiting from Florida is bringing her late model Mustang so there will at least be three cars there lol. My wife and I did a car cruise for the Traverse City Cherry Festival earlier this month. I definitely enjoy the cruising part more than the showing part.

The stripes are Guardsmen Blue over Whimbledon White. Picture was taken late in the evening on an overcast sky from the wildfires out west. The stripes do look brighter on a sunny day. It's also amazing how well it photographs compared to how rough it looks up close and in person. Reinforces to me that it is very wise to go see in person any car that is under consideration for purchase.

I've never heard of Back to the Bricks so I had to Google it. Looks like a great time and I missed one in Cadillac MI that would have been much closer to me.

I understand not wanting to get your car 'wet'. How are you managing to keep your 66 cleaned when you don't wash it? I imagine using a car cover helps with the dust collection.

Beautiful car.
Thanks.

I do use a car cover when it's parked for the winter, but do not cover it in the summer. I use a California Car Duster for a quick touch up for dust. I go about 2 to 3 years between water washes. I may try one of the waterless car wash products, anybody have any pros or cons on them?

Good. Water seems in everywhere. I typically use a air blower after car washes but even that doesn't remove all the moisture. But I have scaled back to washing to every couple of months, I will go longer now. Thanks.

Why add lol to the end of this sentence. Many people do this and I dont understand the purpose.

It's a very small town, so if we are the only ones that show up for the display and following cruise, at least there will be three cars there. I thought it was slightly funny, but maybe not.

Very nice! You'll have to let us know how the cruise-in went. I haven't "washed" my car in at least 5/6 years? I'm a fan of Chadwick's - YMMV

About 30 cars showed up, but almost half left before the slow roll thru town. We were escorted by a county deputy at about 10 mph so not much goofing off on the slow roll. It was an enjoyable evening. Just my 66 and a nice 67 coupe representing vintage Mustangs. Thanks for the tip on Chadwicks, I'll have to try that out.
