Is it alright to blast the carbon off of valves using a 100 grit aluminum oxide? or should i wire brush them? or should i.....

i've always had my head work done down at the local shop where they put them in that toxic looking bath. can't imagine they would charge much to dip them.

Blasting them is the quickest way. Just be sure not to blast the stems. Scott

Blast away....just don't get the stems with the stuff...

Remember, you'll need to grind the faces before re-installling in the head...
