I am in the process of installing a cable clutch on my T-5 transmission. I was wondering what parts I will need and how much work it will entail to switch the clutch fork from the push style, to the pull to accept the cable. Thanks

I did the same installation on my 70, putting in a T-5 with a cable clutch linkage. You have to switch the folcrum to the otherside of the bellhousing and also switch the clutch fork to the driver's side. I found it a lot easier to get a 1993 bellhousing and clutch fork from a 5.0/T-5 combo. Cost me $75. With that, there is no modification necessary to the fulcrum location. Just use the 1993 parts and follow the cable clutch linkage installation instructions. Also, with the late model bellhousing, you do not have to use a spacer plate between the trans and bellhousing. good luck. It is a relatively simple installation, with the late bellhousing.

sure it's fun (most of the time), but it's only a car.
