Okay, somehow I lost the retaining clip for my clutch pedal and the d*&m thing sliped back to where I can't shift or use the brake pedal (easily).

Question is, the retaining clip disappeared on me, and I don't know what size and type to use. My other cars have a hole through the clutch assembly where it slips through the support so you can put a pin through it.

This car has a groove around it - does it use a C-clip of some kind, and if so, what size?

I would guess it is the C-type with the 3 little nubs on the inside that hold it in the groove.

Go to a good hardware store and buy an assortment from 5/8" down to 3/8". They are probably .25 each. For a buck to a $1.50 you will come home with the right one.

You can return the unused ones when you have to return to the store to buy a second one, because the first shot off to some unknown, underdash, place when you try to install it. /forums/images/icons/shocked.gif

My clip kept popping off after replacing the bushings. I eventually drilled through the shaft (in the groove) and used a washer and straight-on-one-side clip.
