After having the engine out for almoust a year I am getting everything ready to reinstall it. I have a question about the clutch release lever. Where the prongs slide onto the throwout bearing there are two flat spots ground on them. A repro I looked at didn't have these flat spots. Does anyone know what the deal it here? Maybe the P.O. got a new grinder for Cjristmas.

I'm putting in an 11 inch Dual Friction Clutch and the throwout bearing I got from NPD is smaller on the outside diameter than my old one. I suppose the diaphram clutch doesn't need as large of a bearing.

Thanks,
