Coil springs: which end is up?

My new coil springs have one end that is flat where one of the coils is sort of
shaved in half, and the other end where the coil just ends normally. Which end
gets the rubber bushing? I _think_ the flattish end gets the bushing and goes up
against the top of the shock tower, while the normal, open coil end goes on the
spring seat on the upper control arm. Is this correct?

And a triple Correct! Make sure when you install the spring the round coil end is up against the stop on the spring perch. After it's sitting on the ground a little space between the end of the coil and stop is okay but if you don't but it up against the sop in the beginning that little gap becomes a wide gap.
