try this link that I got from the VMF links on the main page.

it is only the stock colors, but it gives a pretty good idea of the correct colors available. good luck. tp.

I have to agree, but also the stock silver or the Sonic Blue with argent striping looks really good also.

Here's my 72 coupe.

If you want to stay a stock 71 color, Bright Red can't be beat. BUT, there are a ba-zillion red 'stangs out there. Grabber yellow & grabber lime are two very cool colors that you don't see every day. They look excellent with the Mach 1 style lower body blackout, and a two-tone hood. My present project is Bright Blue Metallic (6), listed on the PPG sheet as Acapulco blue (the color sheet doesn't do it justice). It is one of my favorite colors, with the Argent two tone hood and lower body accents and it was the original shade on my Mach. My next project will be (V), Pewter metallic, black accents & a vermillion Mach 1 interior. I've always wanted that combo, it is a real knockout you hardly ever see. Be original, it's your car......

Black with argent stripes or yellow with black stripes both look good.
