What different lengths are used on 351W based 392 strokers?

The 392 (4.0" bore) and 396 (4.03" bore) strokers use a 3.85 stroke aftermarket crank with 5.956" stock length 351W rods and 302 pistons. It's possible to put together a rotating assembly using aftermarket rods in 6", 6.125" or 6.2" rods but that requires custom pistons or if you get lucky with the finished deck height after milling your block a 331 stroker piston might be close enough to the correct compression height to fit.

Awesome answer!

The crate engine I'm looking at is built with 6.2" rods (so they tell me). Of course, I want the longest rod I can get ;) and it sounds like they're providing that.

Thanks!
