Can anyone tell me if there were rubber cups that were inside the cups that hold the seat belt clips?

Yes, they had rubber cups that didn't agree with years of direct sunlight and had the tendency to warp. I still have mine but they look goofy now.

saw some on ebay today., i could not tell from there picture, i guess a
person could email the seller. but the picture made it look like they had
some kind of metal inner lineing to the plastic cups. mine in my 68 coupe
have no metal in them.
hope this helps

Yes and as others have reported they held up poorly and were often tossed. Recently they have been highly priced on EBay.

They will not be an easy part to find unless you get lucky and even though they are easy to reproduce I would not expect anyone to attempt it

There was someone on this board a while ago that wanted to repop them, but needed more than the number of people that expressed an interest to make it worth while. I believe the idea died.
