I ordered a Scott drake console restoration kit form a local Mustang parts supplier last week.
They obviously didn’t have the exact kit shown online. Instead, they pulled parts off the shelf that would match the kit currently sold online. When I opened the box, this is one of the pieces that they shipped. Judging by the packaging, this thing might be as old (or older) than I am! It kind of felt good to replace a vintage part with a “vintage” part. ?

Is there a bar code anywhere on the label?
Nope. However, there are a second set of staple holes. Maybe the packaging is vintage, but the actual indicator plate isn’t.
No idea why they’d use old packaging for a new part.

Ah maybe it got opened somewhere along the line, maybe even returned. I have some old packaging like that on some stuff that was in the trunk of the Emberglo car I bought. Got a bunch of receipts from the early 1990s...
