Can anyone tell me why only 65 and 66 convertible Mustang have the firewall-to-inner fender braces ? Is the chassis of later Mustangs stronger ?

Do you mean the braces that run from the top of the shocks to the firewall?

No he means the ones from the firewall to the inner fenders-tube shaped-about 3 ft long-theoretically the 67+ were stronger through the sub-frame.
