Finishing up a through the valance exhaust on a '70 convertible. If you are wanting to modify the painted valance on your car (looks good by the way) more than likely, you will crack the paint when bending the cut-out area flanges. You can touch up the areas where the paint cracks, but I would lean towards repainting the panel

For a 67/68 and if using the quad tips, it would be a lot of work the cutout area has a molded area around the opening that would be difficult to replicate. It would be much easier to just buy the dual exhaust valance.

Here is a how-to on one way to do it.
Thanks! That's quite informative. I think I'll probably just go with round end pipes with no chrome tip under the valance or maybe angled tips. I don't want to remove, cut, replace or paint the valance until this car gets a full repaint. Even if I could get it plasma cut I don't think they could do that on the car. It would prob burn paint beyond where the rings would cover it.
