I believe that the air cleaner is the same for 72 and 73. Here is a pic of the air cleaner on my 72 Q Code. Aas you can see it has the chrome (actually silver) top. Hope this helps.

As for vacuum lines, there is one for the snorkle flap (you can see it in the picture) and one on the driver's side that attaches to the auxilliary air inlet valve on the cleaner and the intake manifold vacuum tree.

My 73 Q-code vert was built in May 73 and I still have the original air cleaner. The entire air cleaner is blue (including the lid). The sticker says "351-4V". The vacuum line goes from the intake tree to a thermstatic switch in the base of the air cleaner to the snorkle flap.

I have a good driver set-up sitting in the shed. My brother took it off his 73 torino about 29 years ago, but ran it on his 80 pickup for a while. If interested send me a PM.
