Hey guys I have a black 66 coupe that I am restoring and we are about to paint the engine bay, frames, underneath and rear of the dash (basically everything not seen from the exterior)

What is the correct colour and where can we get some for a paint gun?

Thanks

It's more of a semi-gloss/semi-flat black... definately more flat than glossy...Make sure that it's not too glossy...do a test spray before going down on it..

Try Eastwood's Chassis Black. It is sprayable.

If you want close paint codes...Goto Mustang Monthly's website.. Do a search. They did and article on "current" correct paint color codes from a gun that are available. Your answer is there. I don't remember the issue offhand, but it is online...

I found what they painted their 66 coupe restoration with but it does not say how 'correct' it is

ppg dcc 9300 concept black with ppg dc685 flattening agent mixed in

is there anyone that can confirm this is correct?
