I swear I've done a search, but couldn't find what I was looking for. Anyone repaint their CA Orange on Black plates? Looking to see what paint should be used, and how they painted the numbers/letters.

I used black appliance paint for the plate itself- I don't think it's a correct finish of black but it's very chip resistant. Because of the gloss on this paint, I lightly sanded the letters/numbers before I applied the lettering paint to them. For the lettering, I used lemon yellow from One Shot- it's an enamel used for pinstriping. It was the closest hue and shade I could find that resembled the original CA plates. Hope this might help.
