I need help to find a correct color or finish for this part: Cover front door window rear stop #C9ZZ 65234A30-A and the correct finish for 2 bolts... This part is located above door striker.. Welcome to MCA Thoroughbred Judge and any Expert... I need this info to complete the detailling of my 1970 Mach1 Concours.. Thanks! Raynald Bélanger MCA Judge.

Ray don't have my books handy but if this is the oval plate that is retained by the two bolts on the rear edge of the door then the answer is as follows.

The plates were painted body color (some have been found unpainted but its not know if this is a mistake - miss when painted or they were replaced during a repair) Most of the time you will find the shadow left when they were painted somewhere on the cowl under the fender and cowl cover. Apparently they were simply layed there at the time of exterior color applications (boy what a mouth full :)

The retaining bolts are not painted.
