Correct generator markings

1641 1
I have a couple of 64.5 generators that I want to restore this winter. I don’t want to put on the generator decal the Mustang parts vendors sell because 1) I thought the markings were originally a stamp and not a decal and 2) it appears to have the wrong part number. The decals I see have a part number of “C2OF-10000-G” and at least one of my generators (the one in car for the last 20 years) reads “C4OF-10000-G” So my questions are

1) Should the marking be stamped or a decal? If stamped, where would I get one?

2) What is the correct part number for a July 64 car?

Thanks

CT: Stamped. Best way to replicate is take one of the decals to a rubber stamp shop and have them make you a stamp. You can choose your date which would probably be something like 4FC (3rd week of June, '64)

2) What is the correct part number for a July 64 car?

CT: Single groove pulley generator: C4OF-10000-A
Double groove pulley generator: C4OF-10000-B
