A while back i posted that my odometer was counting down instead of up but the speedometer was working fine. Turned out the number wheel was apparently from some other car. Not sure if some doofus back in time was trying to change the miles on the car and installed the wrong one or was just being funny. I swapped the number wheels and my car now happily counts up.

I started out at 400 which is as close as i could guess of how many miles since i bought it. Normally i would not consider changing an odometer but i registered it as "actual mileage unknown", the prior title was 20 years old and before they started putting mileage on titles, the old odometer was of course wrong and the 87000 miles on the replacement cluster had no meaning to my car.
