I just removed my driver side door and replaced the lacth, there are some rust spots on the bottom of the door, not the skin but the door its self. A couple the size of a quarter and a few smaller ones.
What is the best was to fix these spots and stop the rust?
My next question is about the interior colors, everything in the car is red, the exterior is Wimbelton White.
The carpet, hedliner, dash, seats and the door and door panels.
My question is this, should the door its self be Red since the panel is or is this color scheme factory?

The only good fix for the door that I have done is cut out the bad to good metal, cut a patch and weld/ grind. You need to make sure the drain holes are clear and vacuum out all trash in there which is usually the cause of the rot. then seal and paint inside as well as out. #2 door should be red.

Agreed. The rust should be cut out and new metal welded in. If you do a search for mustang interior colors, you can find your true factory colors there. It's been posted here many times, so do a search.
