I'd go for a coyote with newer auto trans mission with a shift kit.
and the front subframe assembly with reinforcements from Mustangs to Fear.
Easier to access parts for the newer motors from Ford. Get it tuned to your liking or leave it as flashed from MARs.
Excellent. You just exceeded his budget by 1000%, and there’s nothing easier to get parts for than a SBF.

Is that a single experience or numerous failures and problems? He has a ton of repeat customers and great feedback.

Rusty
I can tell you my personal experience. My dipstick shot out so hard that it broke when it hit my hood no joke, and he falsely blamed everything but his work. Crap happens, but his unwillingness to stand behind it, is what defines woody. Challenge him on anything and you’ll see the real woody

I have a Tristar 351W high performance version (aluminum heads) in my F100 that I installed last year. Looks like a long block is $4500 and the dynoed RTR is $5800. Add another $500 if you want roller cam. They also offer EFI systems to the compete price. They have 408s too. I’ve had a great experience from them. They’ve been around since the 1980’s and build performance engines and normal replacements.

I’m not so sure their internet pricing is current though since everything seems to have gone up 50% in the last year.
$500 to switch from a flat tappet, to a roller cam? Do the charge extra for new bearings too?

you're a genius. It's a dart block and marked as such. The heads are 100% AFR bought as blanks for "budget" builds. Edelbrock RPM intake. your life must suck.
My life must suck.....hahaha. Pretty humorous coming from some who would say that, and those parts aren’t listed in the description. Sounds like a waste of a Dart block for suck an underpowered engine.

I thinking and wouldn't be surprised if it was your attitude. Lots of happy customers.
Ahhhh still having issues that you spent a ton of money for not listening to me first, and yes, my attitude made Jim’s engine suck. Merry Christmas. Did my attitude also make him install a cheap Chinese copy of the rods that were supposed to be in it? Jim has lots of neive customers, who actually don’t place any kind of demand on his engines. So, how’s life without the converter beating your bearings out?

Fact of the matter is, you’re making a poor ASSumption and have no idea of how anything was handled, but hey, it’s the internet and you’re obviously a hero. I’ll file your baseless opinion with the others.
