Hey, I am restoring a 65 convert and one of the nuts for the motor crossmember is broken loose an sitting somewhere in the rail. Any suggestions on how to repair that?

I assume you are asking about the removable crossmember just aft of the lower control arm mounts. If one of the nuts inside the frame rail has broken loose then I would think you are going to have to cut a "window" in the side of the frame rail and reattach the original nut if you can find it or a new nut. When the repair is complete you will need to weld the piece of metal you cut out back into place.

That’s the one. I thought that would be my best option, if not only option. Thanks so much.
