I have a 70 convertible that is really ragged that I have been working on. I'm getting ready to repair the cowls and I think I'm going to put fiberglass mat in there to fix them. Anyone ever try that? Anyway, after taking the dash out I noticed the speedo cable going into a little box behind the parking brake. Was cruise control an option? If so, where were the controls? I don't see any now. Thanks

that is an emissions box that (I think) was available on the 1970 Mustang 351C (I'm not sure about the others). There should be a small round switch located in the front door jam on the driver's side. There were vacuum ports on the box itself that lead vacuum hoses out to the engine. If you need it, I have an official Ford drawing of the complete setup that I could email to you...

My '70 Owner's Manual does not list Cruise Control as an option.
