I’m in the middle of this and have just done the drivers side.

The outer pad is touching the rotor slightly. Is this an issue?

Pics might help ,but it is common for disk brake pads to touch the rotor

Is this a Kelsey Hayes 4 piston caliper kit? Are the pistons fully retracted in their bores?

I installed the CSRP disc brake kit with the K/H type calipers on my 69 Coupe & the friction side of the pads touch the rotors.

Normal. There's nothing to retract the pads or pistons unlike drum brakes that do. No problem.
