Old steering wheel out....new steering wheel in..horn works, signals work..31 minutes total..YEAH!..hmmmmmmm maybe I better double check my work, my wife is going to drive this car..see ya!

Oh man did that hurt to read. 31 minutes!!!! I am on my second week! The new column took several 8 hour days, just to couple up to the steering box and bolt up to the dash. The emergency flashers work, but the new turn indicator switch does not work. The horn does not work, even when jumping across the leads manually. 31 minutes you say. I am glad for you, but I feel like a doofus. A little salt in the wounds reading your post. Congrats!!!!

sure it's fun, but it's only a car.

All I did was change the steering wheel..you are doing alot more work

Yes you are. I changed my steering wheel from Grant to Ford for the Pensacola show in about 3 minutes, but because the tierods are not adjusted correctly for centered steering shaft, I had to spend 30 minutes fine-tuning the centering of the wheel.

Everyone suggests using a steering wheel puller: I just rock the sucker back and forth and it gives really easily. Oh, put a dab of dielectric grease on the back side to keep the horn contacts/springs from screeching.
