What is the procedure for painting the dash area of a 65? On the quarter panels I used paint thinner and steel wool. With some scrubbing and patiance the paint came off. What about the dash area do I use the same procedure or do I need to sand it with paper. What supplies do I need and what steps should I take. Thanks.

I used a wire brush drill attachment (because of the countoured areas)on my 66 dash area. Then lightly went over that with fine sandpaper and primed and painted. That was one of the harder areas on the whole car to fool with to me. Guess it's just the cramped space and not dinging anything else up. Whew, when you paint in that enclosed area, it gets a little woozy in there... ::
