Hey, Is there some way to restore the dash board on a original '66 mustang. My other question is what about the vent on the dash board. Can it be restored to original state? I any one can answer this question would be helpful. Thanks!

Can you be more specific? If it's the dash pad you're after, the repro pads are fairly inexpensive and are of good quality for the '65s and '66s.

If it's a mangled radio cutout you're trying to fix, you can by a patch to repair it with. It should be welded in to do it right, but a real creative person my find otherwise.

If it's other parts of the dash, again the entire dash panel is made in reproduction, but definately needs to be welded in.

oh yeah, they also make dash pad covers that supposedly look like a whole new dash pad for about half the price of a new dash pad if u wana go that route. personally id just spend the extra cash cuz they seem kinda cheesy to me.
I was very pleased with the quality of my repro dash pad on my '66. The only problem I had is one of the end studs was not "planted" into the foam very good. As soon as I started to tighten down the bolt, it pulled right off of the pad. I just used a liberal amount of crazy glue to glue it back to the back of the pad. It's held up now for almost 2 years (knock on wood).
