I am trying to install my dash heater control in my 65'. I replaced the main panel with a Scott Drake, and it has been about 10 years since I took it off. There are 2 pins and 2 studs. I have 2 nuts, but they dont touch anything in the dash when I thighten them, so it does not secure the panel into the dash. Am I missing some bracket, or washers, or???

Apparently you have lost the square spacers that the nuts clamp in place.

Are they just square pcs of metal that catch the lip of the dash? I am going to have to look though all my baggies of parts to see if I can find them, or make something.

It's a little stamped steel box, maybe 1/2x1/4", with a hole in it.
