I just replaced my gauge panel and all the lenses hoping to make the dash look a little brighter. It looks great in the daytime, however at night it still seems dim. Also the turn indicators on the dash glow. Are there some kind of shrouds that get placed over certain bulbs? There wern't any on the panel I took out. If so, where do I get them? I haven't seen any in catalogs. Thanks

There are in fact shrouds for thoose bulbs, they are small card board tubes painted black on the inside. They fit sug over the lightbulbs and push against the lenses, i am sure it wouldn;t be too hard to fashion some yourself.

With all new everything for the dash, bulds, head light switch, etc, your dash will still look dim. If your over 40 it gets worse.

Unfortunately, I'm way past 40 so that probably explains the problem. I knew mother was right about the carrots!

Thanks, I knew there had to be an explanation. I'm sure I can fashion some kind of cardboard tube to cover the lights.

Thanks
