Can someone tell me what this transmission is from ? The tag is stamped "RUG J 011161 " . I plan on using this with a 428 cj in a '69 mustang. Thanks

according to the "infamous" toploader chart courtesy of David Kee, that particular t/l is out of a 67 Comet/Fairlane, wide ratio behind a 390 with a 28 spline. Actually, the 428 cj requires the larger 31 spine, big-in, big-out transmission to be safe.....
