Hi everyone,
I have a 1968 coupe with the deluxe interior. My passenger door pull broke on one side, one of the screws (behind the woodgrain insert) pulled out and I found a plastic anchor of sorts for a screw--it was split in half and the screw wouldn't bite into it to be reinstalled. Whoever repaired or restored this part used a blue plastic anchor which I don't think is original.
I found a replacement kit from Scott Drake (https://www.drakeautomotivegroup.com/1968-dlx-door-pull-end-cap-set-c7wy-6522670-6) but all I really need is the screws and the anchor pieces that go into the door. Does anyone know if these are available separately? I'm also open to some creative solutions if anyone has ideas or tips on how to fix this part. Thanks in advance.
