Several Dallas Area VMFers met during a monthly cruise today sponsored by the North Texas Mustang Club. Bluefinger, TJs_Stang, and red66 all showed up with our '66s.

It was a nice little show with about 100 cars, even with the overcast skies. None of us won any awards (I should have gotten one for the dirtiest car), but we had a good time and got to look at a lot of cool cars. Here are a few pics and more here.

And TJs_Stang's '66 (which I rudley forgot to take a picture of, so I snagged one from his web site.

had a pretty good showing, I brought my wife and kids. Walked by your car a couple of times but no one was around. Mustangs were the hit and the blue cobra. Which car won top honors? we left before awards. Your car looked good except for the for-sale sign :)

Sorry to have missed you guys. Spent all day working in the yard as we are moving to Murphy, just down the road from Plano. (That's how I spotted your "For Sale" location, Bluefinger)

Anyway... seeing these just make me want to participate in a Mustang Club even more. How many of you DFW VMFers have a wife and kids? Seems like a good place for families to get to know each other.

Me? SWMBO of course but she's a doll. A seven year old, Kevin and a pistol of a redhead, age five, Kaitlin. And we all enjoy working on PaPa's (now mine) 69 Sportsroof.

Sorry we missed you, we were walking around most of the time, can't wait to get my VMF T-Shirt. We were starving by the time the awards came around, my wife convenced me we could go in and eat at the Cracker Barrel before the awards started. They ended up starting the awards as we got our food, oh well, I know I didn't win anything. There is another one next month, maybe more of us can hook up then. The was a '91 GT just like mine there, so if I don't still have the '66 I won't feel so bad driving the '91.

Hey wade, I'm just getting ready to join the club and that was my first mustang club event. It was a blast. I'm like you, full family. I'm 30, Wife marie, 12 and 8 year old sons Michael and Joshua and 16 month old girl Georgia. They all liked walking around, boys think old cars are the way to go. and the wife is in love with the 66 cobra, says she thinks I should get one. I must be doing something right. Excellent family time. We, VMF Dallas, should do a get together at the lake or something.

Hey guys, I was there too. Had the '69 Sportsroof there trying to sell it. Left the vert at home. I remember seeing your cars. I'll stop and say hi next month. Made the mistake tonight of taking the '66 to the Camaro and Firebirds cruise just down the road at Chuck's. I had the only vintage Mustang there. With the exception of a very few cars, it looked like the parking lot at the mall - way too much plastic.

Okay, I'll stop, I already posted one whining session...

I'm waiting for my VMF t-shirt - hope I have it for the NTMC show (too many acronyms?).
