First of all I would like to apologize for asking this question but it is to help out a co-worker. He is driving a nissan 240 (hence the apology) whenever he approaches 70mph his car hesistates (almost like a small "hiccup,"). What would be the cause of this? I am certainly not familiar with fuel injection. Additionally it occurs in idle at times ( a small "blip,"). Sorry to even ask this question but any help is appreciated.

My friend has tried fuel injector cleaner to no avail. It is a '95, what is the live expectancy of a fuel injector? Could they be dirty (cleaner didn't help) or is it possible that they need replaced? Thank you for taking the time to help it is appreciated.

Try replacing the Throttle position sensor. It was a common problem on fuel injected RX7's (ask me how I know). Get one out of a yard, it's cheaper than the ransom the dealers want.
