I would like to know if someone knows the difference between them? is there a huge gap of information from the preliminary to the other one? :: Any other information would be greatly appreciated.

Never heard about Ford Preliminary Shop Manual. Would you educate a little bit?

I have the complete set and from what i remember, the Preliminary had general info on the cars. The shop manuals obviously go into way more detail. Keep in mind there are around 5 or 6 volumes broken into different areas of the car. I picked up the complete set including the prelim manual and a smaller manual (can't remember what that was) for my 70 mach for $25 on ebay. Deals can be had, but don't include "mustang" in your search. I think the title in my auction only had 1970 FORD manual. When mustang is included in the title the price doubles at a minimum.

Ahaa, this is about later multi-volume manual. I was just thinking about my 65 single-volume manual.

Huh, i didn't realize the early models only had one volume for the shop manuals. Learn something new everyday!
