I have a crate motor and was wondering is there any way to tell if the heads are for a 4bbl or 2bbl setup? Is there a even difference? I was on their site and they said that some engines use later model heads, so I don't know the year of the heads. I could get the casting #'s if needed.

Performance crate engines Like the balence of 4V carbs or Fuel injection. Now if you have a Stock Replacement Crate engine then That is a different story as it would work with the carb off of your old engine but would notice small gains if you went with a 4v carb. Windsor engines(260,289,302,351W) all came with the same heads for the same engine size for example the 289 2v head is the same for the 289 4v.
