1970 Ford 9"

My pinion seal was leaking some gear oil, so I replaced it a while back. It appeared that it was leaking a small amount shortly after driving it coming out of the inner yoke area.

I carefully replaced the seal again being sure not to damage it. Even lubed the rubber areas before sliding the yoke in, and used some gasket sealer over the base of the threads before I put the pinion nut on to seal everything.

It is leaking a "very small" amount again right away after I drove it a few miles. It is definitely coming from the inner area of the yoke/nut)

Any tips? (What am I doing wrong)

Thanks

The following write up details how to repair a pinion seal leak: Link

I've not used silicone on the splines but the write up states it stops leaks through the splines. I'm sure someone might have other ideas but this is a start.
