Word of advice, Floppies that are not used regularly tend to go bad very soon. Meaning reading and writing probs, as in bad sectors. Best to back them all up to CD. Cd's are cheap, as are the writers and they can stand a lot more abuse.
As a systems manager I get a lot of these complaints. We switched to cd as a precaution.
Pics are often too valuable to just leave on disks. I would not be surprised if many of the disks that have sat unused for a while will report errors. Go to CD's.....it'd be a shame if you lost your valuable moments....
