I destroyed the dipstick tube in my 64.5 289 while removing it.

The tube mounting bracket attached to the 7/16" generator bolt.

I need a tube that attaches to the head.

My timing cover p/n is C4AE-6059B, Jun 64.

Summit has a couple different tubes, some of the reviews state that the tube diameter was to large to fit the timing cover mounting hole.

The tube length is also not stated., my old tube was 15.75" long, 1" of that being in the mounting hole.

Any idea what p/n I need?

Summit has C5AZ-6754-A

Is this not where your tube was installed?

.I have removed everything on the front of the engine and now only have an alternator. As you can see the alt bolt will pass through the dipstick mount. That will miss-align my belt, so I need the dipstick that bolts to the other hole in the head.

Order a dipstick tube for a '66.

You may have to order the dipstick too to make sure it is the right length.
