have disk front brakes with open slot rims if i dont run the car for a while the disks start to get rusted is there any way to help prevent this from happening..the two cars i have both have it again one after about 1 month of sitting around.

thanks i know once you use the car and hit the brakes a few times its gone but im doing a restore on one of the cars and i dont want the disks to get bad enough where ill have to replace them.is there any kind of coating i can apply to keep them in good shape.

Sounds like your car is crying out to be driven.

I've let cars sit for years and driven the rust off the discs without a problem. just be carefull when you use it for the first few stops after long sitting.

They also make dust shields which will hide the rotors so you won't have to see it.
